The Michael Oakeshott Association is pleased to announce a call for papers for the 9th biennial conference to be hosted by The National University of Public Service in Budapest, Hungary. The focus of the conference will be on Oakeshott’s contributions to the broader discussion of governance and the authority of the state.
The Association invites paper proposals on a broad set of topics related to the conference theme, which is broad given Oakeshott’s understanding of the state.
Please submit abstracts of no more than 500 words by April 15, 2017 to Eric Kos. Abstracts should include: title of the paper, full name(s) of the authors, affiliation, current position, and an email address.
Afternoon meals and accommodation will be provided free of charge for paper presenters but there are limited funds for those in need of travel expenses.
