Oakeshott, Hayek and Schmitt on Law, Liberty etc: an LSE conference in June

The London School of Economics’ Department of Law is having a two-day conference this week (as in, 20-21 June, 2013) on the theme of “Law, Liberty and the State”. The works of Michael Oakeshott, F.A. Hayek and Carl Schmitt relating to that theme will be prime topics for reflection.

The speakers include several from the LSE itself as well as scholars from institutions in a variety of other countries, include the USA, Canada and Turkey.

Space is apparently limited, so if you are a would-be attendee, you will need to register your interest with the LSE’s Thomas Poole (T.M.Poole@lse.ac.uk).

A little more information (but not much) is available on the Department’s web site.
